TVB selected GTI to design and implement a highly reliable and manageable High Definition Media Network (HD-MediaNet)
(HONG KONG - 8 May 2007) Global Technology Integrator Limited (GTI), a leading solutions integrator in Hong Kong and Mainland China, has been selected by Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB), one of the world's most advanced TV production and digital post-production companies to build a reliable and secure network infrastructure with high bandwidth capability to cater for its future development in this ever changing TV production industry. TVB has relocated its state-of-the-art TVB City to Tseung Kwan O Industrial Estate. This HD-MediaNet is mainly planned for supporting file transfers of both High Definition (HD) and Standard Definition (SD) media essence, as well as IP multicast services. Also, the network is expected to be the foundation for future development in a distributed media environment, such as Internal IPTV Service.

Foundry Bigiron-RX 16 is used as core network components for both HD media Net and SD media Net deployment supporting up to 64 10G wire-speed ports, and is upgradeable to 100G. This provides TVB with the advance Ethernet infrastructure that addresses today's requirements with a scalable and future-ready architecture that will support network growth and evolution for years to come.
GTI is well-known as a professional network infrastructure integrator with reputation and track record. TVB's Engineering Division required GTI to demonstrate their techniques and understanding of TVB's demanding production network requirements during the proof of concept evaluation.
